Fort Koshkonong

Near Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, Fort Koshkonong was a stockade associated with the 1832 Black Hawk War near the Bark and Rock river confluence. The city takes its name from this history, and it's highschool team name from Chief Black Hawk. Groups study both the original marker area and a later replica in Rock River Park.

The replica is not on the original stockade footprint. The precise original footprint has been debated archaeologically.
